My my, that's a really important question. I can see where you're coming from. Yet, it's hard to answer that in here but I'll try to give you some guidelines.
If you just started playing your first goal is to improve your control of the right hand.
To do so I suggest you'd take it step by step by following our beginner piano lessons This is where I teach about reading notes in the lower register which is usually being played by the left hand.
The best way to train the left hand in my opinion is by following some of our piano exercises.
Check out This page where I show how to practice piano scales. Part of the exercise is to train your left hand.
First you have to learn to switch between the right hand and the left hand, and then play with both hands together. By playing some of our free piano sheets you'll get there soon enough. You must understand to you have to train your brain to send order to two different areas in your body and sometimes at the same time.
Now if you're not interested in reading piano notes you can follow one of our piano tutorials.
Take Imagine for example, it's an easy one. Here is where you're going to learn to play Bass with the left hand and chords with the right hand. It's one way (great for beginners) to accompany yourself on the piano.
I think that's a good starting point. There are more ways to use the left hand. You can play Shell voicing in the left hand which is combining a bass note and one more important note from the chord but let's take it one step at a time.
Let me know if this helped and if you need some extra information I'd be glad to help you.
